The crunchiest pretzels. The creamiest milk chocolate. Put the two together and you have yourself a stupendous snack that hits the sweet, salty spot every time.
For such a popular snack, pretzels have quite the beguiling backstory. They were either created by a monk in Italy or Germany, or maybe both, but somehow the pretiola ("little rewards" in Italian) and bretzel (the German word) came to be a beloved snack for kids the world over. It's also unclear who first dunked pretzels in chocolate-possibly a bretzel baker in Hamburg in the 1500s, or not-but we can thank our lucky stars that it happened. Because when it comes to salty-sweet, crunchy-creamy snacking, nothing beats a chocolate-coated pretzel.
