French Vanilla Crunch Granola

There's nothing plain about French vanilla, a favorite flavor of everything from coffee to ice cream and, of course, this granola, which is crunchy with sliced almonds and as wholesome as it is delicious.

While the ancient Greeks were the first to embrace cereal as the breakfast of champions, our pour-and-serve varieties all started in the late 1800s with what was first called "granula" but changed to the more palatable name of granola by Dr. Kellogg, who went on to found the cereal empire based on its success. Lucky for us, the fervor for granola made it the "it" health food of the 60s and 70s, sparking an explosion in flavor varieties that just keeps on keepin' on.

But not all granola is created equally, and this one happens to to be made in small batches using only non-GMO ingredients that are also grown according to fair trade policies. Sliced almonds is the "crunch" in French Vanilla Crunch Granola, which also includes oats, brown rice, and a hint of nutmeg.
