These licorice lovelies are all dressed up with everywhere to go: Birthday parties, wedding receptions, baby showers, and more. You could say life is more enjoyable with them around.
What's pink, yellow, white, black, and brown, comes in striped squares and hole-in-one circles, and makes you jolly just by looking at the merry mix? Why, that would have to be these "licourice allsorts," courtesy of jolly old England. The candies have all the traits that define quality licorice, but most of all that authentic (pronounced) taste. Seems the much-loved mish-mash was a happy accident-and a tale of making lemonade out of lemons. So the story goes, in 1899, some poor chap who worked at a noted British confectionary dropped a tray of the company's creations and the customers were charmed as can be by the jumble. Sweet serendipity.
